Maybe try the large stretchy stroller comfort harness. They are very light weight and velcro for easy fit but have safety snaps too.

Quick question though; can cats teach themselves how to kill mice, or is it a strictly taught behavior? Sasha has killed 3 mice so far (that we know of, anyway) and she is very efficient at dispatching them. My dad says that the one he buried nearly had its head taken clean off. I thought mousing was a learned behavior, which makes me wonder if Sasha actually was a fully indoor cat before we adopted her.

It's instinctual but some are better at it than others and learning the best techniques can be taught by observing mom.

Jake mostly catches snakes and lizards but he caught a couple birds and mice and even a bat once.
