 81 Harley Sporster Info A friend just got an 81 Sportster XLH Limited Edition Series 1 bike out of some guys barn for a steal. Does anyone have any background info on this bike? It has the smaller gas tank and limited edition logo on the top and is numbered. Looks like only 1000 were made but that's about all we know. It is cleaning up easily and even fired up after 3 tries. Any info would help.

Its not really worth a whole lot more than any other 81 Sportster, if that is what you were asking. Parts and service would be exactly the same as every other XL made at that time
